Accessibility statement
Draft for Sara's approval, 2.11.2026
NAVO guides people with medical conditions and disabilities, so it matters that this site works for everyone who comes to it: with a keyboard, a screen reader, a zoomed display or a phone.
The standard
The site was built to meet the requirements of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013. The regulations refer to Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA.
Conformance check: [TO FILL: date of the check and who carried it out].
What was done on the site
- Keyboard navigation: every link and button can be reached with the keyboard. A clear outline shows where you are, and a "skip to content" link at the top of each page takes you straight to the content.
- Contrast: text and background colors were chosen to be easy to read.
- Motion: if your device is set to "reduce motion", the site appears without animations.
- Text alternatives: images that carry information have a written description. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers so they do not get in the way.
- Language and direction: Hebrew pages are marked as Hebrew and right to left, and English pages as English and left to right, so a screen reader reads each page in the right language.
- Mobile: the site adapts to any screen size, and you can zoom in without content being cut off.
Known limitations
[TO FILL: parts of the site that are not yet fully accessible, if the check finds any, and when they will be fixed].
The WhatsApp buttons open an outside service. The accessibility of WhatsApp itself is not under NAVO's control.
Accessibility of the service outside the site
The service is given by WhatsApp and email. [TO FILL: whether the service is also given by phone or in person, and if there is a physical place, its accessibility details].
Something not accessible?
You can contact the accessibility coordinator and tell us what did not work. To make it easy to fix, please mention the page, what you were trying to do, and which device or assistive technology you used.
